October 8th ~ all reading blocks took their Unit 1 test over the reading skills that we have been working on so far this quarter.
October 9th ~ Today was our center day.
Lit Circle ~ Students should have finished reading their novel this week. We will have a week off before we start our next novel. Our new novel will NOT be a class novel.
Block 1 ~ Shared their jobs that they were assigned this week
Block 2-4 ~ Shared their Literary Connector job
Reading Skill ~ Students continued their dictionary scavenger hunt.
Fluency ~ Students are timing each other on how fast they can read syllables. It is their goal to read the syllables faster and faster each time. This will help increase their fluency rate.
Silent Reading/AR ~ Students read quietly their AR book or their class novel. During this time they may take an AR test.
Homework: AR ~ all AR points are due Friday!!!! Lit Circle ~ make sure your book is done and your job is finished.
