January 8th ~ Reading BLOCK 1

Today we made our predictions for the story Carlos and the Skunk.  Remember predictions need to be at least a 7-up sentence.  There needs to be detail.  We then read the story.  Afterwards we worked on our evidence for our predictions.  Evidence needs to include three things in order to be correct.  Evidence needs to have whether or not your prediction was right or wrong, the page number you found you evidence, and then actual information from the text. (what does the text say?)

Homework:

  • Finish your evidence from the story.  Don't forget the three parts!
  • Answer questions 1-3 on page 404.
    • Remember when answering questions recycle the question into your answer, complete sentences, and you write who you are talking about.
  • AR ~ You should be reading 25-30 minutes every night.
